Well, there's 4 that are worth going to and all of them have their separate charm. If
you're going for two weeks, then you have a really good chance to get to a couple of
them. Here's kind of the break down:

O'ahu: Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki. More people live on O'ahu than all of the
other islands combined. TONS of things to do from sight seeing to hiking to, of
course, some of the world's top beaches. Great bars in Honolulu and Waikiki but very
touristy. If you want to get a better feel for the island, go to the windward (east)
side and to the North Shore. Still fairly populated, but much less developed. Take a
drive up through central O'ahu and see the pineapple fields and what's left of the
sugar cane fields.

Kaua'i: The Garden Isle. Beautiful. Very remote, very undeveloped. They say that
the people that visit there are the "Newly wed or the nearly dead." Basically
newlyweds and old people visit. If I remember correctly, there's only 10,000-15,000
people living there. Not a heck of a lot to do but they have some really nice
restaurants and if you just want to go somewhere and just be, Kaua'i is perfect. Not
very touristy at all. If you go to Kaua'i, check out Waimea Canyon on the leeward
(West) coast. It's like a miniature Grand Canyon. Really cool and some good hiking.

Mau'i: A nice balance between O'ahu and Kaua'i. Check out Lahaina. Touristy but not
overly so. More that colonial feel than anything. Plenty to do but still has that
Island feel. Great windsurfing on the south shore. Mau'i has got some great boat
trips to Molokini which is this tiny crescent shaped island that is awesome for
snorkeling. It costs a little more, but an organization that supports whale research
(I can't remember the name though) has a boat that's a catamaran and hauls ass. You
leave after all of the other boats and get there first. But you go to Molokini and
the over to Lana'i and do some more snorkeling. Really great experience. There's
also the trips to the top of Haleakala to see the sunrise and then you can bike back
down. But that's like 4 am or something.

Hawai'i': The Big Island. Still very remote and very big. It is the home of Pele and
the two most active volcanoes on earth and is a site to see. Not a heck of a lot to
do, but there's the black sand beaches, green sand beaches (DO NOT TAKE THE SAND WITH
YOU!!! IT IS VERY BAD LUCK!!!), and a whole lot of cattle. There's still a lot of
active cattle ranches out there. Also, many people don't know this, but the cattle
ranches in Hawai'i is the birthplace of the cowboy. True story.

Like I said, if you're there for two weeks, you could probably stay at one island and
do an overnighter at the other islands. They have package deals for such trips for
around $150 on up and includes car, hotel, and airfare. It's only a 45 minute flight
between islands. If you're on Oah'u, you have to go to the Arizona Memorial. In the
morning is best. If you go early enough, a lot of sailors, soldiers, marines, and
airmen will do reenlistment ceremonies, retirement ceremonies and is usually pretty
cool to see. It is quite emotional, especially if a survivor is there. There's also
the USS Missouri which is cool too.

WOOHOO!! I am on my way we are getting married in September of this year
  at
Moody Gardens in Galveston Texas. For those who don't know it is the most
beautiful place to be married. Then we are going to Hawaii for two weeks.
