What are the percentages of Muslims who feel the statements made are true
and representative is the important thing. How many recognize that the
statements made my their co-religionists are false and how many believe
them. Are the terrorists winning the hearts and minds of their own people
while they are scaring non-Muslims into silence? When statistics are thrown
around you need to know the parameters and baselines, not just numbers like
12%, 43%, etc.
And the 43%, according to the poll, did not think Islamic extremism was the
problem but Islam itself.
"Pollster Maurice de Hond found that only 12 percent of those questioned
thought the film represented Islam accurately, but 43 percent agreed Islam
was a serious threat to the Netherlands over the long term."
You qualifying the statement with Islamic extremism is not reflected in the
article and shows your take on it, not necessarily the take of the people
polled.
