60~65 depending on the speed limit.  Most of my "gains" come from  
traffic though.  Just straight out highway (no traffic) driving will  
net me in the upper 40's to low 50's.  Once I hit a little bit of  
traffic, my mileage starts to skyrocket because of the electric system  
kicking in.

If you have a no traffic highway route, diesel would be the best  
option I think.
