Both vendors are fairly large, highly reputable companies in this area. Both vendors came recommended by people I know who were happy with them. One vendor was a Trane specialist and only quoted Trane products. The other was a Lennox specialist, but gave me quotes for a Goodman (builder grade system), a Tempstar (off brand but with comparable features, the Lennox that we decided to purchase, and a Trane. I do have the factory warranty and factory manuals in hand, I mailed in my $1000 rebate to Lennox yesterday and will call to confirm later this week.
