This covers games created for Windows under the Games For Windows banner.

Try running an older, but still very popular title such as Neverwinter Nights I.
Another more recent title that has issues is X3:Reunion.
Recent games made for Vista may work fine, but quite a few people
still have older titles.

There was also compatibility issues with SLI as recently as 6 months
ago, so people weren't just complaining with no basis.
Microsoft had to release a hotfix for that issue ahead of Vista
SP1.The article itself notes that it took a year and a half to get
to the point where the OS is on par with XP in terms of pure Frames Per Second.

One should therefore understand the view of early adopters.

For an enthusiast such as myself who frequently installs new titles,
Vista's slow hard disk operations are frustrating, and noticeable.
I have my system setup as a Dual Boot between Vista and XP...and I
spend nearly all my time in the XP SP3 boot.
