Actually NWN is one of my favorite games... it runs just fine for me (as do
all of the D&D games - Baldurs Gate, Temple of Elemental Evil, etc). None
of them ever seemed to stress the system much for me.

On the PC really ALL I play any more is D&D and Valve games. Although I
actually keep buying those gems I've missed from Steam (like "Indigo
Prophecy") I never seem to actually play them much. Oh... and a WHOLE lot
of PopCap ("Chuzzle" and "Peggle" are like crack).

Of course I've never noticed a problem with any game - that's not saying
that it ISN'T slower, just that I can't notice a difference.
The only game that I've had noticeable problems with was "Crysis" (go
figure)... but the demo for that didn't intrigue me at all enough to buy it.

Yup... of course the differences before weren't exactly earth-shattering.
As I've said, at least in Source-based titles I never saw an initial drop in
performance. HL2 stress test was always on par for me.

Oh - I do. Did I actually say anything about early adopter or are you just
touchy today, my friend. ;^)

As I said - I'm an early adopter and have never seen a noticeable
difference. I know that some people had actual, factual, no-nonsense
problems. I also know that some people had sorta, kinda, "I'm losing 5 fps"
problems - I MAY pick on them a bit.
