It seems that the links by Jason confirm what I remember reading. As well as desks and tables, be aware of other options if one of those is not available. Basically if you can get your self under|next to anything sturdy and taller then you, you improve your chances. One piece I remember reading advised curling up against the back of a sturdy couch is pretty good.
