There have been quite a few reports about people being forced into signing agreements with some of the bigger companies. Luckily ours has been pretty nice so far.
What amazes me is that we get approx. 23% of the gross revenue of this well. That means that this company is really pulling in a bunch of money! I saw a 20/20 or a dateline the other night where they followed an oil driller in west texas. It cost them 500,000 to drill to look for oil, but when they found it, they would get 15,000,000 from it. At the time, the guy had a ratio of 7 empty of 15 drilled though.
