Yep, gots to "Suit Up" as Barney would say.  (If you're not watching How I
Met Your Mother, then shame on you.)

I always go with the suit when it's business and I'm not sure which way to
go.  When it comes to bringin in the bacon, making any kind of 'statement'
that could offend the people who give you money for professional services is
never a good idea.  Whether you like it or not, or disagree with the
principle, a well dressed person is a stand-up, hard working person of
integrity in the eyes of the beholder.

Once you meet them, you may see that you over-dressed, but I'd rather be way
overdressed than underdressed.

As far as the earring, I think that they are pretty passe these days, but
why chance it?
