As for NPR you can podcast just about every show they have, so you can still listen, although not live (unless you've got an iPod Touch w/ wifi?) I'm sure you can do this with a PC, but on a Mac you can download Audio Hijack from Rogue Amoeba Software and then stream any audio and store as an MP3. You can schedule it too. So, for example, let's say you want record all of Garage logic from 3-6 today. You just set it and forget it.
