.... is not good. Not good at all. In fact it's VERY not good.
It starts with stills of some of the better "Onion" headlines. We laughed. It continued into a cute bit about "neck belts" in cars which caused unexpected decapitations. VERY FUNNY bit, we all laughed. We didn't laugh again for the next 90 minutes. Not even a giggle. The rest of the movie was drawn out, overly repetitive and puerile with none of the redeeming aspects of the written work. Shocking images meant to evoke impulsive laughter were reused over and over. Decent premises which might have ended quickly on a high note allowing you to build up some amusement were drawn out until all the possible joy was drained. We're huge fans of "The Onion", but this wasn't it at all. Incredibly disappointed.
