My 8 year old and I watched "Camp Rock" on Friday of last week. Right after that, my daughter started carrying around a paper pad and writing song lyrics. After I started reading them, I was really impressed by some of them. So, now I'm trying to figure out how to keep nuturing this. Her mother plays piano, but she's not shown any interest in it. She wants me to teach her how to play guitar, but I'm not really good at it (although I'd love to get better). Is 8 too young for guitar lessons? Or, would teaching her the basic chords right now be enough?
