Not upset with friend. I just don't want to bark and the current situation is untenable. And fwiw I have IMed through Gmail to someone who is busy (sometimes we are busy on the same thing!) and it does say so so-and-so is busy, you may be bothering him or her. Some people just have an expansive approach to when this should be disregarded.
.... I have another friend who does this also. Sometimes I want to say you know, I love you, but I do not have time for a drunken political rant right now. He does not shut up ever until I say ok well... I have to go. Literally an Energizer bunny.
