One addiction was destroying his life, costing him millions of dollars and
deteriorating beyond repair the naturally amazing gifts that he was born
with.

The other "addiction", as you call it, just makes him a tad annoying to us
non-religious folk.

His recovery is a nice story....yeah, it's being overdone a bit....but I
still welcome some good news from time to time.
