Funny, in the United States today if you were to commit a similar crime, say killing some people with a gun at 14 - 16 you could very easily be tried as an adult, found guilty and executed.

We are pretty much alone in the world as not seeing someone 16 or so years of age as an adult. In England today you can still enlist in the military that young. We all know that people drink younger in the rest of the world, get married younger, work younger. Also, I'm not sure if you've ever used one, but a grenade isn't the best defensive weapon in the world.
