Books: --------------- * well I'm half way through CS Forrester's Horatio Hornblower series which is fictionalized history about early 1800s life in the British Navy. I've known about these books for years but always thought they'd be dull - I was wrong - they're awesome. * Along that same genre is WEB Griffin's books around WWII (any of them) which are all great IMO * And more in that space is Sen. Webb's book 'The Emperor's General' about MacArthur's conquest of the orient his running of Japan immediately following VJ Day. It's fantastic. For fictionalized history it's probably one of the best books I've read. * In the thriller category I'm working through Robin Cook's medical thrillers (like Coma) which are ok. * As for what my wife calls my "men's trash" books I read James Rollins, Douglas Preston, or Matthew Reilly Music: ------------- * right now I'm still listening to Supreme Beings of Leisure and Zero 7 which my wife calls "banana republic background music" but since I never go there it's new to me. * I'm also going through a Russian composer phase which prokofiev and shastakovich as well as others. I ain't no conn-es-oo-er, but for some weird reason these composers tweak something for me. Maybe it's their dark russian brooding. I dunno. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:263944 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
