Ah, yeah I've seen those. Lower power output, so more would be required to generate the same amount of power, covering more land. In some key locations, where wind is funneled into a gap in hills for example, these do make sense. I could see why a company wouldn't embrace them on a large scale though. I imagine environmentalists would have a problem with them too, since they require more land. What about the sonic barrier? I couldn't find anything via Google. [Insert image of yodeler on top of wind turbine] I would imagine it's a noise deterrent, but isn't noise already one of the objections to wind farms? And wouldn't that serve to further disrupt flight patterns, potentially killing off the birds in a different way?
