The sad thing is, I bet a lot of these urban areas probably had something like this a century ago. At least I know, here in Sacramento CA, we did. If you look at old, early 20th century maps there where 'interurban' rails all over this area. Apparently they went miles and miles out of the city into the burgeoning 'burbs and beyond all the way to the nearby cities. But by the mid fifties they where all torn up and supplanted with roads to accommodate more automobile traffic. I feel if these interurbans could have somehow magically survived to this day, they would be really useful commuting alternatives. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:264362 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
