This thing is insane. You have publishers. A publisher may have imprints and
aliases. It may also be defunct. It may also have sold off some of its
property to other publishers. Then there are joint publishing agreements
like Marvel and DC publishing a comic together.
Then we have titles. *&%*(^(*%^%& what a mess. A title may start with one
publisher, change names multiple times with the publisher but not numbering,
then end and be continued with another publisher. It may be listed on way on
its indicia, another on the cover and a third inside.
This whole thing is insane. Luckily, they got someone like me to manage it
all. I'm insane, but in a good way...mostly. :)
