I'm getting insurance and a partial salary. The end result is www.comicmix.com, an already existing site with a lot of creator owned content (and big named creators). They're making their money through ads and sales with the extra content (the massive, almost complete DB of comics) being a major draw. Want to know what names Jack Kirby used for what issues and when? We have it. Want a complete list of every comic from X publisher? We've got it. Want thumbnails of them all. Well, I've got close to 3T of comics here and will have CF generate thumbnails of them all as soon as the DB is done.
