I've never had mine searched, and while that's interesting to compare notes on, it's very similar to gun laws isn't it? That is, there are lots of people that fight for gun rights that don't even own a gun because the point is not whether or not they've actually had to use a concealed gun to protect themselves, it's that they have the right to do it if they choose.
