I think the argument isn't one of "how often", but under what circumstances. e.g., "I was a POW" is a simple statement of fact. It speaks in very simple terms to all that happened during the time that he was in captivity. Go "weapons free" on this one. Use it up. But keep in mind that it is not a trump card (see example #2) in an argument. "I didn't have a kitchen table for five and a half years" is a statement--that while factual--is crafted to elicit pity in such a way that suggesting that those who did have kitchen tables should feel ashamed for doing so. put the kibosh on this. -- will "If my life weren't funny, it would just be true; and that would just be unacceptable." - Carrie Fisher ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:266635 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
