I am not afraid of Islamists, or being labeled a racist, and therefore often say things I maybe shouldn't.
The only self-censorship I know I give in to due to fear is fear of the Church of Scientology. I am never openly critical, because they are willing to destroy the lives of my family as well as mine. (And yes, that took me some time to write and let go) I often self-censor, but that is normally due to not hurting someone's feelings, not from fear.
