While I am skeptical of polling meaning very much at this point, the McCain/Palin ticket now leads nationally, and more importantly for the election, has swung the race in the battleground states. Everything is neck and neck, which takes me back to the basic facts- the country is still more or less divided, and a relatively small number of voters in a small number of states are going to decide the outcome of the race, just as they have in the last two elections.
