If you've never seen the movie, I would highly recommend that you do. This
is one case where the film adds real impact to the message that you just
can't get from reading the book.

They actually invented a whole new photographic technique for this film,
which you'll see during the thought sequences. And the eerie background
theme by the Eurythmics is a great foundation for the narration.

David just now mentioned to me that he thinks 1984 is the most faithful film
adaptation of a book, ever. And I think Michael Radford (screenplay,
director) is a genius for this work. I honestly think it could not have
been done better by anyone else.
