Maybe where you live, but most other places, they ain't exactly pulling down the big bucks. Multiple houses? Wow. My mother is a teacher, and I've grown up with several other teacher's children, and whatnot, and, well, they ain't rich. I don't know a single one with multiple houses from their teaching salary, for instance. I've never heard anyone equate teaching with the easy life, or as a good way to make money. For arguably one of the most valuable and important positions in the world? (next to parent/guardian ;]) Not that a bunch of money alone will solve any problem... -- If across the Atlantic the ideology was pride, here it is delivering the goods.
