And you can keep mumbling that line.

It' very easy, however, to look at practical reality.

Take Iraq. Tell me which democrat leaders have done everything in
their power to stop the war? Easy. none. Thus those same leaders
must accept accountability for the war. Obama, for example, didn't
"vote for the war", so he can excuse himself there, but he could've
also done zillions of things to try to stop it such as not voting for
continued funding, et al.

Take the Economy. Lots of blame to go around for both parties. And
were the Republicans out saying that they'd really messed up, they can
see more regulation was needed, but gosh they're sorry for not seeing
that sooner. "I can't change the past, I'm accountable. But I can
help change the future, here's the lesson I learned, here's how I"m
applying it."

That's not what you hear from Republicans though. What you hear is
"it's not my fault". Which is all the more egregious when, as a
party, they held a majority of Congress in their control.

So, it's simple. Show me the regulation bills sponsored by Bush,
supported by Republicans but blocked by Democrats. You can't because
they don't exist.

Avoiding accountability is always a cowardly act. Perpetuating the
argument is, therefore, cowardly.

For example, I've said a bazillion times that I was NOT for
regulation. I would've voted against it. I was wrong.

So I've presented my argument and its conclusions. It's opinion. If
reasoned opinion is offensive then I will accept accountability for
that.
