I think Americans need to sit back and really look at their country. There seems to be one fringe group of forward thinking people, and a huge majority of backward thinking, just got off the boat Pilgrims.
In my view, the mere fact that a McCain/Palin ticket is viable and can win the elections says volumes about America, and where it is culturally. Make no mistake about it, this is a cultural and racial divide in the US.Americans love to say to the rest of the world that Creationism, Extremism is just a small subset of the US Population, but many simply don't believe that to be the case. These elections show very, very differently. The Founding Fathers of the US apparently fought hard for separation of Church and State, but the minds and culture of America has not grown and followed suit. Once the Voters vote for God and Faith before Country then anything the Founding Fathers said in the constitution, and any other declaration is a moot point. There are people in the US whose churches are telling them that Obama is the AntiChrist, his smooth talking, good looking, agreeable and affable attitude is just what the bible warned would come from the AntiChrist. Wheras McCain is an abrasive, awkward straight shooter...he's not smart enough,eloquent enough or smooth enough.He will not command as much favor and be able to bring people together on the world stage as Obama would, therefore he can't be the Antichrist. Do you see the logic that you're fighting against??? And we aren't even taking into account the issue of race, where if Obama was white the democrats would have this election totally wrapped up at this point. Palin/McCain against the dangers facing this world will be pitting Extremists against Extremists.
