McCain was *officially* cited for "poor judgement" in the S&L crises!

But to answer your question, no, that's not the best I can come up with:

* In 1995 McCain pushed for a moratorium on all banking regulation
saying that banking regulations were "destroying the American family,
the American dream"

* In 2005 McCain told the WSJ: "I know a lot less about economics than
I do about military or foreign policy issues."

* In Nov 2007 McCain said, "The issue of economics is not something
I've understood as well as I should; I've got Greenspan's book." The
f'n chaiman of the commerce committee for 8 years and he needs to read
greenspan's book. HA! I love that quote.

* On Dec 4, 2007 McCain Said: "I can't come down yet and give you a
specific solution [to the economic crisis], because I don't claim to
be smart enough, but I do have some confidence in (Treasury Secretary
Henry) Paulson and I'm glad to see him more and more active in this
issue. I'd love to give you a solution, but I don't know." 8 year.
Commerce chairman. Doesn't have a clue about that economy. You'd
think the commerce chair would have some thoughts on the economy ...

* McCain was Commerce Chairman 1997-2001, and 2003-2005, yet has said
at least 16 times this year that "the fundamentals of our economy are
strong".

* This year McCain defined wealthy as an income of $5M/yr or more.

* McCain supported Bush 90% of the time. So what's Bush's record?
  - record debt
  - record deficit
  - unemployment at a 7 year high
  - sunk median household income. After 8 years! adjusted for
inflation! The average american's income dropped!

The guy knows as much about the economy as Palin does and the only
reason people like her is her windfall profits tax on oil companies.
As mayor she raised debt 69%!

Dude. sober up. This ain't the team we want running the economy
during the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression. And
that's now. nothing saying it won't get worse.

PEGs hire guys like Obama every day. Obama called this thing 3 years
ago. But mostly, our other choice is McCain and his "experience" is
Greenspan's book!

Oh, lordy.
