these are by no means uniquely British !
almost all of them apply here in the US

possible exceptions:

"cracker pulling" - is that the party noisemaker where you pull a string
forcefully to make it go off like a firecracker?

our cars weigh thousands of pounds and are worth thousands of dollars :-)

most beer bottles have twist-off caps
(although there may be some stupid enough to try to remove these with their
teeth)

what's a Scalextric car ??
