I know, I know, but it's posted as I received it...

Crackers seem to be a uniquely British thing
At Christmas we have Crackers on the table to pull after the meal,
they're little tubes with ties around them to hold the "gifts", sort of
shaped like this

They "crack" when you pull them (one person on each end) and have
several things insdide;
A paper hat, a crap joke and a "prize" which is usually very cheap and
rubbish, such as a plastic ring, a small pack of cards, a "magic" trick,
etc.

Hehehe - funny that, ours only weigh a few ounces...

Twist off tops are only used on certain makes over here, so some still
require a bottle-opener... Thus people breaking their teeth...
