Well, I think that this is a completely different cause.  In the 70's it was
a politically fueled supply problem with OPEC (I think).  Today it's just a
big honkin hurricane blowing out one end of the supply pipeline.

It was made even worse in Atlanta because not only do we use a different
blend than anywhere else in the US, but that blend changes during warm/cold
months.  The local stockpiles are intentionally run low right around the
time that change happens, which is soon.  So the supply was low
(intentionally) to start with here.
