Well that's true. I didn't think the Surge would work, even at the modest
goal of lessening violence.
Actually, I haven't been right about much of anything lately........except

I guess a big part of the problem is confidence, though....so the thinking
goes, alleviate a symptom, grow confidence, which addresses a big part of
the problem. Maybe that's circular logic...? I dunno.
I do know that the Red Sox can't beat the Angels without a healthy Josh
Beckett.

Yer fudging. The major factor in decreased violence is the surge.....even
the insurgents have told us that.
All of that being said, personally I support spending the money but

The election might be coming at a perfect time...maybe Americans will see it
as a chance at a new beginning, and some of that waning confidence will
start to blossom again.
Hope is a good thing.....maybe the best thing.
