Hm, according to the definition I don't think it is sexist.
1.Discrimination based on gender, especially discrimination against women.
2.Attitudes, conditions, or behaviors that promote stereotyping of social roles based
on gender.
Its not discriminating against women nor men. A woman can pray as much as she wants
while a man is required to pray a minimum amount. A minyan, because it is only for men
may be sexist, but the ability to pray (which is what we're talking about) isn't.
The second part of the definition is so useless as to be a joke. Which society? Which
roles? Which gender? Does sending my children to same sex schools fall under sexism?
what about teaching my daughter to cook? Or calling her a little mommy? Looks like I
have a new word to dislike.
