BS. The only reason he was kept on the list- in the words of the guy who
prosecuted the case, Bob Bennett- was that all the other Senators were
Democrats. Bennett (who is a Democrat himself) recommended that McCain be
removed from the case, but Senate Democrats refused- because then it would
have been the Keating 4 (or maybe the Keating 3 because John Glenn was
cleared as well)- and they would have been all Democrats.
