Missed the Geraldo one, but I will always miss the Geraldo stuff. I just don't think he's worth watching. As for Fox, I would tend to agree, but Tony Snow (surprisingly to me) was one of the interviewers that I was talking about. He interviewed some guy named Dr. Zogby (seen him doing the rounds lately) and it was a pretty interesting exchange, but he got away with a lot in my opinion. He interviewed the "Israeli counterpart" later (i forgot his name, sorry) and it was significantly more challenging. The same issues were brought up (which is good) but after similar responses, he challenged some of the replies whereas he didn't make the same challenges to Zogby who made some pretty questionable statements (Arafat is misunderstood, the Palestinians are humiliated and subjugated by the Israeli's, etc.) and nary a word from Snow. I like Tony Snow. He's actually on the conservative side of things (he has an article in the jewishworldreview occasionally) so to see him back off was kind of surprising.

Did you see Geraldo go after that Hamas guy? That was some incredible stuff. jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Corrigan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, April 08, 2002 11:31 AM Subject: Re: Media reviews > That's very much how I felt after watching a lot of the coverage this weekend. I watched guest after guest point out how Arafat has always sought out peace and is misunderstood. Those same guests would talk about how Sharon is a militant "right-wing" (always got to work that phrase in somewhere) hardliner where all that he wants is to destroy Arafat and the Palestinian people. The idea that Arafat has always sought out peace is laughable in my opinion, but what's worse is that the interviewer would not counter that or challenge it. However, if a guest was saying that Sharon is doing what he feels he has to do to protect Israeli's then that same interviewer would say "come on, you really think..." and then go on about the recent actions taken by the Israeli military and then finish > that with the ever so typical set up "Does that sound like someone who is interested in peace to you?" That's the sentiment that existed throughout all of the news shows I was watching. Foxnews, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC. Other than the graphics on the screen, you would swear it was the same show on each network. > ______________________________________________________________________ Your ad could be here.
