I'm offering why I think that is. Politics has always been about ideas. In the best of engagements you agree in principle, i.e. we what what's best for the nation, but you disagree on position (do this instead of that). Negative politics, obviously, attempts to shift the focus from ideas and/or discredit the ideas based on character rather than merit. What I think has happened in the last 8 years is that people have literally gone religious over ideas while at the same time the stakes have been raised across the board. Is it possible to reverse that? I don't know, but McCain's pick of Palin shows he places a low priority on it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:274231 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
