The bailout?  Yes I did say that.

But what I've also said I'm conflicted about it: I despise the gov't
doing it and I despise more that Bush stood in the ready-room while
the ship ran aground.  But how about you?

Basically I understand your argument to be:

* Despite being captain for the last 8 years Bush ran the ship
aground, but it's the previous captain's fault.

* Theoretically Bush might of had trouble getting his officers to
agree to a course correction, but that's academic since it never
happened and Bush laughed all the way into the rocks.

* The best way out now is to promote the navigator - the guy who set
the course for the rocks - to captain because now he disagrees with
own previous course and, most of all, the captain.  Or says he does.
Either way, good enough for you.

* Oh, and if the navigator becomes captain, the dish washer will
become 1st officer because by Jan she'll probably be ready.

That about sum it up?
