Total BS man, that ergo is not the logical endpoint.

If you can't help yourself, it's hard to help others-- while it seems
"bad", the mother should save her own life before trying to save her
child. They teach that in safety courses and whatnot, even. =]

America was founded in the little people sticking together, while not
forgetting the individual. Fighting for the rights of the individual,
actually, even when that individual cannot fight for those rights.
All kinds of good, idealistic crap.

Or whatever, really-- saying X was Y or whatever is academic.

I like to believe it was for good reasons, and we've become a
super-power because of the good, not the bad.

But I might be biased, as I love America, flaws and all.

I've spoken with a lot of Americans who do not think that way.

And those that do, seem to think it to varying degrees.

Perhaps some type of mix of the two extremes is where it's at.

People like Judah may be in the majority, this time.

See, unlike the Republican party, the rest are more diverse, and don't
agree so much with their Party of choice.

Makes organizing a bitch, comparatively.

It's pretty plain to see that we're about 50-50, voting wise.

I'd rather it were 80 (Judah-ish) and 20 (Robert-ish), but I guess it
keeps things lively.

This time I hope I hope it tilts toward the Judah side, tho. We would
recover faster, I believe. But I don't know the future.

Whatever. A *lot* of people have made a *lot* of money, and they
weren't all Americans.

It's already a global economy, much as some folks don't think what
happens over there affects what happens over here, so to speak.

We can adjust our system, and will, and are.

We're sorta always adjusting, actually. Sometimes good, sometimes
bad. Sometimes more government, sometimes less.

We're doing the best we can, man! =]

"The System" is a living thing, maybe moreso than most places, even.
We do have a lot of lawyers, neh?

We (Americans) are made to change, that's what we do-- that's part of
what separates us from the rest of the governments and whatnot. We
can do it *wicked fast* when we need to, too.

Sadly, we've been changing some shit we shouldn't be changing, but I'm
still hopeful we'll realize why we did what we did in the first place.

There are good reasons *NOT* to:

*torture
*keep CIA and FBI sorta separate
*spy on your own citizens
*cut taxes and increase spending
*live on credit
*etc.,

which we already covered, but seem to have forgotten.

*  *  *
Moving away might not do much in the long run.

Remember, here *is* there, sorta, and vice-versa. LOL.

Damn, I better quit before I get into quantum physics and whatnot. :-)p
