Get the aptana plugin for eclipse. Its ftp synchronization is really good. As 
for ftp on save (which is about the only think that kept me using DW for a 
while), Aptana works very well for that. I also worked out a way to do that 
with Ant with with far more close grained control. What's really nice is the 
server control, being able to start, stop, restart, or autodeploy to the server 
instance all within Eclipse is real cool. Add in the UML, SQL development, 
graphics, Ajax debugging (to name a few featured) offered by the MyEclipse 
plugin, DW is like edlin in comparison.
