I really would like to learn to surf one of these days. Perhaps now that I have a bit more body fat I won't die in the frigid waters off the Oregon coast so easily.
I'm curious to see how much, if any, of my snowboarding body memory would translate over to surfing. I've known people that do the Oregon boardsports daily double here, hitting the surf early in the morning before the wind kicks up too much, then driving up to the mountains to catch the afternoon and night shifts snowboarding. That would be an amazing albeit thoroughly tiring day.
