With the economy the way it is, even if the Shah of Iran paid for the party,
its $2,000,000 I think could be well spent elsewhere.  I also would agree
that the wardrobe expenses were a bit excessive and the same kind of
look/style could possibly have been done on a smaller budget.

But, to echo Charlie's comment, why does it seem to be ok that Obama drops 2
mil on a party, but its excessive when the RNC drops 150k to make their VP
candudate look like she should be VP?

And dont throw the 'hometown' thing around..again.  Obama has claimed he
wants to change things, yet, as those on this thread have agreed, he is just
doing what everyone else has.
