I didn't hear any official comment from the Obama campaign about the
Palin clothes, but as has been pointed out here repeatedly, the thread
was started as a joke because of the tacky boots, and continued
because of the hypocrisy of claiming to be a hockey mom while spending
that kind of money on clothes.  The amount was moot.  It was the
attitude being questioned.
