Yes but they seem to always leave feet (trunk) first. Must be some sort of
suicide pact. Very sad.

Well, certain species do it naturualy, actually.  For example, in certain
parts of the world, pine trees are known to to migrate inside peoples' homes
sometime durring the month of December.  No one knows why they exibit this
odd behavior, but the trees usually leave after a few weeks.
