Judah pretty much explained it, and Gruss even pulled out a salient
bit which addresses this specific question.

There's some Buddah-- er, Buddha-- quote, sorta like: "don't believe
what I say because I say it, believe it because you've arrived there
yourself" or some-such.

Even without understanding squat, really, we've arrived at transistors
and what-have-you.

The fallacy is thinking we really *know* stuff tho, ya know?  Getting
invested in our frameworks and constructs so much that we close up.

Maybe.

Who knows-- reality ain't exactly understood (tho we still get by, neh?)  =]
