I know of some soldiers in my unit who have not said they "worship" Obama, but believe me, if you say one negative thing about him, they act as if you have slapped their momma upside the face and called her a stupid cunt. I am not exaggerating either. These guys almost get frothy at the mouth. They will stand on a table or chair yelling very very loudly about how wrong any non Obama supporter is and how right and righteous they are for supporting him. Oh, and good luck getting a word in edgewise to support your candidate in front of them. Now I am not going to say that the represent the average BHO supporter, but they do live up to the claim. Also, I am not going to say that this is necessarily a negative, but I personally believe that they are going a bit overboard in their support. A simple button or Obama/Biden sticker on their car, a reasonably mature debate and not a shouting contest, or perhaps if we were not in Iraq, volunteering in a local office would suffice to me, not the near rabid response that one can get from them. Just listening to them turns my stomach. And I would say the same thing for a McCain/Palin supporter as well if they acted the same.
