One thing you better get used to is socialism. No matter who's elected there's only one way out of the hole we're in right now and that's going to be massive government intervention on the order of the New Deal. Nothing has changed the fundamentals of the economy and if you think the "bailout" did anything you're mistaken. Massive deflation is setting in globally (falling commodity, gold, and TIPS 1 year prices/yields) and people are going to flock to safety by both spending less and buying gov't bonds. This means the government is going to be THE economic player for YEARS to come. Years.
