Gore might have been better off demanding a statewide recount instead of
asking for a recount only in counties where he was most likely to squeeze
out a victory margin. As it was, it looked like Gore just wanted to recount
until he got the result he wanted.

I guess i don't think it was fair and square.  It was by mistake.

However, I think he won't run again because hes bitter and angry.  I'd be 
too.
