Working in a place and getting contracts are sometimes two totally different things.
I wasn't talking about going for an interview for a job. I was talking about web contracts. I totally understand what you are saying, and if I was a salaried employee somewhere, I'd have the same opinion, because I could not "work for" someone I couldn't tolerate. It's not "just you" ... I've left my fair share of jobs just for such intolerance, whether it be political, generally, etc. I am opinionated to a very large extent, and if ya'll hung out with me on a day to day basis, you'd be surprised ;) But because my bread and butter is from an entirely different source, namely "the internet" I have to be careful. Trust me on this ... it makes a difference. When you are going after a contract worth 10's of thousands of dollars or pounds ... you don't really want to upset the apple cart. And because you never see these people anyway - nor talk to them about items other than the actual contract or the work, you never get involved in the personal things. :) I have a few clients that are friends, and for them I'm an open book. The rest, well they are businesses that I'm helping to achieve online and offline success. I want to debate my friends ... not my money. (nor my family - they are entirely too sensitive, wow.)
