I found the answer- Woodrow Wilson's mother was English. Before that, Andrew Jackson's parents were both from Northern Ireland.
Full disclosure is the reason it matters. The press is supposed to investigate and provide full disclosure and they did neither in this case. As the sheik himself said, they didn't want to say anything because they thought it would affect the election. Isn't the job of the press to find out stuff that would affect the election BEFORE it happens? WTF?
